As reported by TSOF in December, Forney attorneys Elizabeth Alvarez Bingham, Scott Gray, and the Guest and Gray law firm are being sued by the Republican Party of Texas for fraud. The lawsuit alleges Elizabeth Alvarez Bingham claimed her law firm, Guest and Gray, had prepared a “data model” that showed evidence of voter suppression but that “data model” never existed. Elizabeth Alvarez Bingham is also the wife of current Forney Planning and Zoning Commission Chair and Crandall Economic Development Corporation Director Casey Bingham. Scott Gray is the husband of Tracy Gray who is currently a candidate for the 489th District Court (Judge Tracy Gray for 489th District Court). In a previous statement regarding the lawsuit, defendant Elizabeth Alvarez Bingham argued the RPT couldn’t bring this lawsuit. However, her, Scott Gray, and Guest & Gray Law Firm have now submitted a motion (see below) to move the case to Kaufman County, where political ties are more aligned with the defendants. More to come as this story develops.
